DePaul Game Dev Labs & Equipment
Students in the DePaul Game Dev program have access to a number of labs devoted to this area:
- Game Development Lab
- Animation Lab
- Motion Capture Studio
- Console Gaming Lab
- PC Gaming Lab
Equipment in the Game Dev and Animation lab includes
- XBox 360 XNA development stations
- Wacom Cintiq and Bamboo graphics tablets
- Animation light tables
- 3 Lunchboxes
- Torque, Maya, ZBrush, Motion Builder, Toon Boom, Adobe CS4, and Painter software
The Console and PC Gaming Labs are administered by DeFrag, the DePaul student game research group.
The Console Gaming Lab features:
- Three 46″ widescreen HDTVs
- Two 36″ widescreen HDTVs
- Seven 27″ widescreen HDTVs
- XBox 360, Wii, Playstation 3, and older systems
- Networked for LAN play
- A large and growing number of games
The PC Gaming Lab is equipped with 20 networked PCs for LAN gaming, and a large and growing number of PC and board games available for checkout.
